London in November

Updated: Nov 12, 2018

London and I, we have a love-hate relationship. There are lots of things to hate about London, the pollution being my favourite thing to moan about, but of course, it has its highlights..

Yesterday I finally left the cave that is my apartment with my boyfriend Keith and we ventured into Carnaby Street one of my favourite streets on the planet. The street is all lit up with quotes of the Queen song Bohemian Rhapsody in honor of the new film of the same name and it's absolutely stunning. The colours just bring so much happiness to my heart.

I dragged Keith into Spectrum Collections, a make-up brush store which is wall to wall pink and packed with Disney themed collections and artwork. Spectrum have an absolutely lovely vegan cafe upstairs where they have a selection of vegan hot drinks and cupcakes and other deliscious treats. We had tea for two and shared a pumpkin spice cupcake and my God was that cupcake good. I have never had a vegan cupcake with such fluffy light frosting!! They offer three different non-dairy milks; oat, almond and soya. We went for oat milk with our tea and I have to say it was a game changer, definitely the closest texture and taste to regular milk, I will absolutely be picking some up for my tea at home.

All in all, what I'm trying to say here is maybe London isn't so bad. If you're feeling homesick, go for a stroll down Carnaby Street, tease yourself in the luxurious shops and treat yourself to a comforting vegan afternoon tea.
