It's September, can you believe it? As much as I am super sad that summer vibes are coming to an end, my cosy soul is excited for cosy autumn nights in, Pumpkin Spice Lattes and crunchy leaves under my Dr Martens. Some things that have me excited autumn and trying to give myself a boost of serotonin!
Cosy TV Show and Movies
Movie Marathons, cinema trips and re-watching Gilmore Girls without the guilt that I'm missing out on the sunshine. Now that it's getting darker earlier, there's more excuses for TV watching. I'm a TV fanatic. I've just begun my yearly Harry Potter marathon and Lord of the Rings might be next! Squeezing in an episode of Gilmore Girls on my lunchbreak or having friends on in the background, well, all the time. And of course, darker evenings mean a perfect excuse to go to the cinema once a week!
Baking
I never really bake in the summer, I never really feel like it. I suppose the house is already so warm I try to use the oven as little as possible! I am so excited to perfect my cinnamon roll recipe, make so many pumpkin pies and all the apple pies I can, oh I love baking! It's been a while so I may get back into it with some rice krispy treats... I am also a lover of soup once the weather gets cooler, a pumpkin soup, a tomato soup, a dairy-free seafood chowder. YUM.
Pumpkin Picking
The first time I went pumpkin picking was October 2019, and we haven't been able to go since, so I am VERY excited to get to go again this year. I love to put my wellies on and stomp through the mud taking in all the gorgeous pumpkins and leaves and sunflowers! I will have to book it soon, last time we went to 'Alright Pumpkin' in Navan and hopefully they do it again this year!!
Halloween at Disneyland Paris
For the first time ever I will be going to Disneyland Paris' Halloween party and I am BEYOND excited. My sister and I are going together and I cannot wait to have a sister trip just me and her. We have the whole trip planned, dinners booked and we're going to go into Paris too! We will be eating at the Marvel Hotel and checking our Avengers Campus and of course we will have matching Halloween costumes for the party!
Autumn Outfits and Decor
I love autumn outfits so much. turtlenecks and neutrals ooh yes please. Dr. Martens everyday and trench coats - cosy cosy Pinterest vibes. I also cannot wait to decorate the house for fall! We moved in after Halloween last year so we haven't been in this house to decorate for Halloween yet! I have a gorgeous wreath and so many pumpkins and I can't wait to take them all out and find homes for them and make the house all cosy. I may need some more, our last place was very tiny.
