My favourite spots to shop in dublin!
Hodges Figgis
My Favourite Book Shop in Dublin
Dublin is not necessarily overloaded with bookshops, but this four floor wonder is definitely worth a trip. Right in the middle of Dawson Street in the city centre this gem is full of its own little gems. Perfect for relaxing for an hour and browsing the shelves or dunking from the rain while waiting on the Luas or bus.
Dubray Books
Grafton Street
This little gem looks tiny form the outside but expands inside to three floors and a cafe overlooking the famous Grafton Street hustle and bustle. This shop has the perfect selection of books if you're looking for something to read or something Irish as a souvenir.
Brown Thomas
Treat yo'self
Ireland's most loved luxury department store. This store is perfect for treating yourself to a new lipstick or picking out a new coffee machine or even popping up to the top floor to use the fancy bathrooms. Over the years I've seen the development of the store and all the fabulous new brands take place in the store. Think Selfridges, but in Dublin. Where the rich go to shop!
Grafton St Area
Realistically, the whole of Grafton Street is ideal for some retail therapy. It is know as the more high end side of the city with more upmarket brands such as Massimo Dutti and Boss but it also holds Europe's Largest Disney Store along with Topshop's Irish flagship. This gorgeous pedestrianized street is brimming with character and is definitely one of my favourite streets in Dublin, especially around Christmastime when it is lined with sparkling lights, beautiful window displays and of course wonderful buskers.
At the very top of Grafton St. lies the spacious St. Stephen's Green, a well kept park perfect for sitting and having a picnic in the warmer months.
Penneys
Various Locations
Penneys, penneys, penneys... My favourite shop in Dublin. Penneys is the name for Primark in Ireland and let me tell ya, the Irish buyers know what's up. My personal favourite Penneys store is the Blanchardstown shopping centre store, but I might be biased because it's the closest one to my parents house. The biggest store is the Mary Street store which is connected to their head office, you could literally find anything you need hear.
