Disneyland Paris is re-opening!

Disneyland Paris is officially re-opening on July 15th and I am VERY excited. I completely agree with Disneyland re-opening. The French public with the guidance of their government have flattened the curve and Disney will be carrying out restrictions within the parks such as limiting capacity, making face masks compulsory, extra cleaning and imposing social distancing throughout the parks to create a safe environment for Cast members and guests.

I know a lot of Disney fans are on the fence about going to the parks this year and feeling like they won't be able to get the full Disney experience for their money. However, I disagree. In my opinion, if you are a frequent Disney goer like me, these restrictions are only going to make the Disney experience more enjoyable! Okay, there won't be any shows or parades which is sad but think of the space in the park. The idea of waiting in line for a ride and not being squished between the family in front of me and the family behind me just thrills me.

This re-opening has also forced Disney to roll out the My Disney Experience app, or something similar, in Disneyland Paris, which is way overdue. Since the introduction of Fastpass in Disneyland Paris the system hasn't changed. If you don't know this system, you have to go and scan your ticket at the attraction, which generates another ticket with a comeback time for later on that day, and you can only do one attraction at a time. Hopefully, with the rollout of a Disneyland Paris app, you'll be able to book your Fastpasses online before your trip as well as making dining reservations and checking wait times, just like in the US parks!

My family have a trip booked for Halloween 2020, BUT now that restrictions are easing here in Ireland and the EU are announcing travel bridges between countries on July 9th, we MIGHT take a trip in August and soak up some Disney magic! We have our annual passes, which have been extended by123 days and we will stay in the Marriott Ille de France which are individual houses, so we don't have to worry about social distancing at the hotel. I have my fingers and toes crossed that it works out and we can go!

Tell me what you think, will you be going anytime soon?
